Here is the infamous Pacesetter headers branding logo

As you can see the headers come in two pieces for the 4AFE engine. More specifically, this is for the Corolla's 4AFE (1.6L engine). If you also notice, there is no flex pipe visible. This is because the collector cannot use a flex pipe otherwise there wouldn't be any scavenging. If you don't know why...read up more on Headers 101 written by a good friend of mine (a great and experienced tuner).

Here's where the exhaust will meet the headers

Another shot of the headers

Here is where the celica infamous heat sensor will be bolted onto.

The celica at the exhaust shop. The charge for the actual header welding and install would be $170 @ golden auto.

The celica gets closer to heaven thanks to my man Han.

Here is the flex pipe we are going to replace. Thanks to some of the really knowledgeable people @ pacesetter. I didn't have to find out the hard way that the headers / collector pipe would come up short to the catalytic converter...unfortunately the headers aren't as great as their service...keep reading to find out.

Removal of the flex pipe.

Here is the replacement pipe in place of the flex pipe that was taken out. Its flange was sliced off.

Han checking the flange on the catalytic converter.

The mandrel pipe which will bond the header's collector pipe with the catalytic converter.

Removing the old bolts from the cat converter.

The result of the welding.

This is what the headers should look like when assembled.

NOTE: When you drive around for awhile, the header's paint (which was done by pacesetter) will burn and look like what you see below so don't bother what kind of paint you will finish your headers in unless you want to Jet Hot them (an unrecommended ceramic header coating @ $700). This is after a week of driving. At least from the impression I've had driving the car for almost a month. I have made some serious savings on gas.
However, don't expect to make any performance gains from this upgrade. According to the engineers @ pacesetter, this header was engineered for fuel efficiency.
